Following on from winning Suffolk’s Charter Standard Community Club of the Year 2017, Haverhill Rovers have now also been announced as the regional winners in this category!
Each category is judged at county level and then regional level, before a national shortlist is created from the regional winners of each category.
Rovers beat off the other county winners in the East Midlands and East Region to claim the award, after being put forward as winners of the Suffolk award.
The club win a coaching bursary, a plaque and a certificate, which will be presented at this year’s Suffolk FA Awards Night on Friday, June 23rd.
This tremendous news for the Club shows recognition for all the extremely hard work by everybody involved with Haverhill Rovers F C and staff from the HCSA.
Launched in 2001, the FA Community Awards are presented by international fast food chain McDonald’s, the FA Charter Standard Programme is the FA’s accreditation scheme for grassroots clubs and leagues.
Its goal is to raise standards in grassroots football, support the development of clubs and leagues, recognising and rewarding them for their commitment and achievements.
Haverhill Rovers F C follows a club development plan that covers a host of different things including participation, coach education, volunteering, marketing, communications and facilities.
All the above is overseen by the HCSA and Suffolk FA and delivered by the conscientious Haverhill Rovers Committee, volunteers, club managers, coaches and players.
Congratulations to all involved!
