The New Croft is delighted to announce the submission of a planning application for an extension to our community facility in Haverhill.
Managed by the Haverhill Community Sports Association (HCSA), our facility on Chalkstone Way has proposed the construction of a single-story extension to West Suffolk Council. The extension would be situated on the side of the building near the turnstiles, an area that is currently paved and unused.
The proposed 1,000-square-meter extension is designed to accommodate the growing demand from various groups that call The New Croft their home. These include Haverhill Rovers FC, community football teams, The New Croft Foundation, academy and various community groups.
The extension will be designed to connect seamlessly with the existing social room, creating a versatile space that can be adapted to meet a range of needs. It will have the capability to transform into one large event area or be divided into up to four separate sections, offering flexibility for multiple users simultaneously.
In addition, the extension will feature expanded amenities, including additional male, female, and disabled toilets.
The business case for the extension highlights the positive impact this project will have on the local community. Peter Betts, CEO of The New Croft said: “It has become evident there is a growing need both within our community, the education sectors and of course our own users that additional facilities are required, we are doing our utmost to meet people’s needs. The past few years have seen significant growth within our organisation and we have really seen the positive impact our facilities have on so many people within our community.
“We are extremely excited for the next few years which will see this and other projects come to fruition that will continue providing so many opportunities for all within our community.”
