The draws for the early rounds of the FA Cup and FA Vase have been released, involving both of the town’s senior sides.

For Haverhill Rovers, the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round (5th August) sees the Reds travel to Hoddesdon Town of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division. Hoddesdon were the first-ever winners of the FA Vase in 1975. The winners of this tie will host Heybridge Swifts on the 19th August.

In the FA Vase, Rovers host Whitton United in the 1st Round Qualifying on 9th September, with the winner away to Barkingside or Southend Manor on the 23rd September.

Meanwhile for Haverhill Borough, the Extra Preliminary Round of the Cup has drawn the Blues away to Essex Senior League side Enfield 1893 (5th August), with the winners then playing away to Ilford or Woodbridge Town (19th August).

The FA Vase proves to be no different as Borough are again drawn away to Enfield in the 1st Round Qualifying (9th September). The winners here will play away to either Stowmarket Town or Team Bury (23rd September).
